Southwest Turkey Burgers (Jinny)

This recipe is a Rachel Ray recipe and SO good. You can always use beef if you'd like.
(I took this picture from food network, they really don't look anything like that. These are like bite-size.)

8 slices bacon of your choice (optional, just for topping the burger with)
1 1/3 lbs ground turkey breast
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 large shallot or 1/4 red onion, finely chopped
2 T chopped fresh thyme or 1 tsp dried thyme
2 T chopped fresh cilantro leaves-or parsley may be substituted 2 T fresh or 1 tsp dry
1/2 small bell pepper, color of your choice, finely chopped
1 serran or jalapeno pepper (optional in mine)
2 tsp ground cumon
1 to 2 tsp cayenne hot sauce or Tobasco (optional)
2 tsp grill seasoning blend (recommended Montral Steak Seasoning by McCormick)
Vegetable or olive oil for drizzling
Sweet red pepper relish to top it with (optional)

Chop garlic and veggies.
Cook bacon if using to top it with.
Combine all ingredients and salt and pepper if desired. Drizzle with olive oil, cook, and eat.
